Abstract
Aim: Our aim is to investigate Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome diagnosed pregnancies that were followed up in Tepecik Education and Research Hospital- Perinatology Unit between 2015-2020, retrospectively. Matherials Methods: The archieves scanned Maternal features such as age, gravidy, parity, teratogen exposure, concominant disease existence, karyotyping rejection decision for the future delivery type was noted. Also fetal like gestational age at diagnosis, growth, perinatal complications (eg: intrauterin growth retardation, additional anomaly, preterm delivery) postnatal condition noted.
Results: 9 of 41 patients met criteria. One them had termination pregnancy. %37.5 rest delivery. 3 8 (%37,5) retardation with estimated weight below 10 persentile. There no gender difference among infants. 75 percent delivered infants, operated postnataly. 2 infants died before operation due prematurity complications.
Discussion: a very rare highly detectable antenatal period high morbidity mortality rates. These fetuses must be tertiary centers both because problems’ management management.

The hybrid approach for palliation of hypoplastic left heart syndrome: Intermediate results of a single-center experience.
INTRODUCTION Hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS) is a major cause of cardiac death during the first week of life. The hybrid approach is a reliable, reproducible treatment option for patients with HLHS. Herein we report our results using this approach, focusing on its efficacy, safety and late outcome. METHODS We reviewed prospectively collected data on patients treated for HLHS using a hy...
متن کاملModified Hybrid Procedure in Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome: Initial Experience of a Center in Northeastern Brazil
Introduction: Although it only corresponds to 2.5% of congenital heart defects, hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS) is responsible for more than 25% of cardiac deaths in the first week of life. Palliative surgery performed after the second week of life is considered an important risk factor in the treatment of HLHS. Objective: The aim of this study is to describe the initial experience of ...

In addition, the syndrome includes underdevelopment of the left ventricle, aorta, and aortic arch, as well as mitral atresia or stenosis. Hypoplastic left heart syndrome may be accurately diagnosed during fetal life. Prenatal diagnosis provides the opportunity for parents to make an informed choice about their options, including surgery, nonintervention postnatally or termination of pregnancy. Short to medium term survival continues to improve for a condition that was previously invariably lethal. There continues to be a signific...
